Volunteer Program

This is real farm work.

Not a retreat. Not a course. A working farm that needs working hands — and gives real life back in exchange. 4–5 hours a day. Five days a week. PHP 500 a night.

Come ready to get dirty.

Your Contribution

Four to five hours a day. Real work.

Gardening

Planting, transplanting, mulching, weeding. The everyday rhythm of keeping a farm alive.

Harvesting

Picking at the right time, handling with care, learning what's ready and what needs another week.

Composting

Building and turning compost, learning the process from kitchen scraps to living soil amendment.

Food Processing

Washing, prepping, making products in the farm kitchen. Harvest becomes food becomes product.

Natural Building

Working on farm structures under supervision. Bamboo, earth, and wood as everyday building materials.

Animal Care

Where applicable, caring for farm animals. Feeding, observing, understanding their role in the system.

Seed Saving

Selecting, drying, and storing seeds for next season. A small act that closes the loop.

Record Keeping

Helping document the farm's work and harvests. The memory of a farm lives in its records.

What You Receive

More than you brought in.

Farm feast spread

Meals

Three farm-grown meals daily. You'll know where every ingredient came from — and probably helped grow it.

Accommodation

Shared mezzanine space. Mattress, beddings, mosquito net, toiletries. Comfortable enough. Rustic by design.

Learning

Permaculture, seed saving, soil management, food processing, natural building. Structured sessions and informal knowledge — both happening at once.

Community

Real relationships. Other volunteers, farm staff, and Maya's wide network of practitioners and changemakers who find their way to this hillside.

This is for you if —

You're drawn to land, food, or community. You're okay being uncomfortable. You don't need WiFi to feel alive. You have something to contribute and you're honest about what that is.

This is not for you if —

You're looking for a luxury experience. The beds are shared. The work is physical. The farm is under construction. It's beautiful and imperfect — both at once. If that's a problem, this isn't the right fit.

Cost

PHP 500 / night

Negotiable based on capacity to pay.

The fee covers your share of farm operations — food, accommodation, tools. If this is genuinely a barrier, talk to us. The work matters more than the rate.
