Activity Waiver, Release & Assumption of Risk
Nature Day, a guided farm immersion at Flow Forest Farm, foot of Mount Tipolog, Davao, Philippines. Event date: [August 2026, exact date to be confirmed].
Please read this document carefully before participating. It affects your legal rights. By signing below, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agreed to it for yourself and for any minor in your care.
1.The activity
Nature Day takes place on a working regenerative farm and along a natural river. The day may include road transport to and from a highway pickup point; walking on uneven and natural terrain; barefoot walking; a guided river trek and time beside and in flowing water; harvesting fruit; open-fire cooking and a shared meal; and exposure to sun, heat, rain, insects, plants, farm animals, and wildlife.
2.Assumption of risk
I understand that these activities carry inherent risks, including slips, trips and falls, cuts and scrapes, contact with water, animals, insects or plants, allergic reactions, illness, heat or weather effects, and, in rare cases, serious injury. I am taking part voluntarily, and I knowingly and freely assume all such risks, both known and unforeseen.
3.Release and waiver of liability
To the fullest extent allowed by Philippine law, I release and hold harmless Flow Forest Farm, its steward and owners, staff, guides, volunteers, and agents (the "Organizers") from any claims, demands, or liability for injury, loss, or damage arising from my participation, except where caused by the Organizers' gross negligence or willful misconduct. This release is binding on me, my family, and my heirs.
4.Health, fitness & medical consent
I confirm I am in suitable health to take part, and I have disclosed any relevant medical conditions, allergies, injuries, or limitations to the Organizers. In an emergency, and if I cannot be reached for consent, I authorize the Organizers to arrange first aid and transport to medical care on my behalf. I am responsible for my own medical and insurance costs.
5.Food & allergies
Meals are grown and prepared on the farm and may contain or come into contact with common allergens. I am responsible for telling the Organizers about my dietary needs in advance and for my own food choices on the day.
6.Following guidance & the land
I agree to follow the guides' safety instructions, stay on established paths, respect the farm, its animals, and its waterways, and take care of my own belongings.
7.Minors (ages 12 to 17)
Nature Day welcomes guests aged 12 and over. Any guest under 18 must be accompanied throughout the day by a parent or guardian, who signs this waiver on the minor's behalf and accepts these terms for them.
8.Photography & media
The Organizers may take photos and video during the day and may use them to share and promote Flow Forest Farm and future events, without payment to me.
9.Weather & cancellation
Nature Day runs rain or shine where it is safe. If conditions are genuinely unsafe, the Organizers may move the event to another date in the same season. Full cancellation and rescheduling terms are shared with your booking confirmation. [Confirm cancellation & refund terms here.]
10.Governing law
